Transitas is a Bright Copper, one of the founding breeds of the Regal Copper. A veteran of some ten years, he thinks highly of himself and his line, and tends to think less of anyone who exhibits "poor breeding" including but not limited to: smaller dragons, dragons with less vivid colours, mix-breeds, Reapers (because of their tendency to dive), and breeds that originate outside of Britain.

He thinks very little of Cirrus as a result and tends to bully him. He dislikes Rosario and Thunder's Brother on these same grounds, though as one can breathe fire and the other is nearly twice his weight, he wisely keeps those opinions to himself. He thinks Preliatora, as the covert's only female, ought to start breeding with him to build up numbers and "good breeding stock" while she thinks he ought to jump in a lake.
