Rojark

A Welsh red dragon, the most common true dragon in the Earthrealm. Despite the name, these brilliantly coloured dragons can be encountered from the United Kingdom to Turkey, and south as far as the Mediterranean Sea. Unlike true Red Dragons, Welsh red dragons have ray-like fins more commonly seen in the various genera of Metallic dragons, leading to some speculation on their exact taxonomic classification. Like their larger relatives, they are arrogant, avaricious and violent, apt to spew fire at the slightest provocation.

Habitat loss in some of their western territories has prompted some reds, unwilling to move their lairs, to enter into politics. Acting through a proxy, the dragon steers local legislation in a direction that suits its needs, such as ruling that sheep be herded near poorly guarded, sparsely populated hilltops (in consideration of noise and smell pollution, of course.) In fact many agressive environmental reforms have been brought about by entire councils of dragons seeking to maintain fishing and hunting grounds.

It is also speculated, but as of this point unconfirmed, that a particularly malicious red is responsible for the at times redundant and confusing transit systems of various major cities.
