Description

A resplendant drake, also called a turquoise tree dragon, measuring 4 inches (9.5 cm) not counting its tail. Fiercly territorial, they will drive off creatures as much as three times their own size with hissing, flaring of wings and their loud cry which sounds like a high-pitched blue jay. They can be found in temperate to sub-tropical forests. Drakes are fey-dragon hyrids and the respendant is the most commonly observed due to its colourful scales and pugnatious nature. Like dragons, drakes lay eggs in cluthces of two to four at a time, usually ever other year. Drakes mate for life and only rarely find another mate in the event of the death of one of the pair. If the mate dies, the other usually finds some quiet place to mourn for a few days, then lets itself starve to death.
